Screen lights5/29/2023 Nevertheless, some eye health experts have expressed concern about exposure to blue light from backlit digital screens and devices. And you’re exposed to a lot of it - the natural blue light from the sun far exceeds the amount from any one device. Those structures don’t keep out blue light. Your cornea and lens protect the light-sensitive retina at the back of your eye from damaging UV rays, for example. While more complex editing capabilities might be achievable with a different program, software like Snagit is not free.Your eye is equipped with structures that protect it from some kinds of light. Its lightweight nature makes it even more convenient to use on all devices. LightShot features screenshot, edit, upload tools in one single interface which is hard to beat. Whether Lightshot is the best screenshot app option for you is entirely dependent on what you need from the app. LightShot has no means of capturing video. The biggest difference in Snagit’s favor, though, has to be that it enables video capture. This is a feature LightShot does not offer. In addition to adding captions, symbols, and the like, Snagit is also an image editor that also allows for the adjustment of the screen capture. LightShot is useful, accommodating software for image capture and editing, but there are other options as well. To temper this, LightShot does not allow the uploading of illegal or NSFW screenshots. Each upload creates a shareable link with a short URL, and these images can be instantly saved to a gallery. While some may consider this a handy step that cuts out the middleman, it’s also a drawback when it comes to data privacy. Holding down the Ctrl key when capturing the screenshot will copy the image to the clipboard, where it can be pasted into other programs like Word, Photoshop, or Paint for more extensive edits and tweaks.īy default, LightShot automatically uploads screenshots to the Cloud. The program utilizes very few of your computer’s resources and, when called upon, does its job in just a couple of quick clicks. The app downloads in just a few seconds, takes up very little space, and runs unnoticeable in the background. This is useful if you need to check the date you initially took the image, if you never saved the file, or if you want to go back and make different edits.Īnother of LightShot’s advantages is its efficiency. With an account (either Google or Facebook), you can even go so far as to check your entire screenshot history. One of LightShot’s more unusual perks is that you can also use it to take multiple screenshots without having to click the button repeatedly. No matter what you choose, it’s all handled from the same window, conveniently removing the need for other third-party apps, copious drop-downs, or subwindows. From there the image can be printed, uploaded to the cloud, or shared to social media. These enable you to easily edit in all manner of arrows, brush, blur, shapes, and text. On a single-screen layout, it showcases all available tools and functionalities. The interface is one of LightShot’s most outstanding assets. If you want to reattempt the image capture, you can cancel out by hitting ‘Escape’ or just closing the window. Click and drag the area you want in your screenshot, and it will open right into LighShot’s built-in editor. An instruction reading ‘select area’ then appears next to the cursor. This activates LightShot, and the screen will dim. Recording the image on your PC screen is as simple as pressing the ‘Prt SC’ button. Hyperresearch 3.7.3 serial key5/29/2023 In general, T1D researchers frequently rely on a single biomedical outcome (i.e., glycemic control) as an indicator of a successful HCT. In the T1D literature, measures of HCT outcomes not only vary among studies, but there is also inconsistency about when to measure the various criteria used to indicate a successful HCT. In this qualitative study, we used the expanded SMART as a framework to obtain multiple stakeholder perspectives on indices of a successful HCT for young adults with T1D. We expanded the original Social-Ecological Model of Adolescents and Young Adult Readiness for Transition (SMART Schwartz, Tuchman, Hobbie, & Ginsberg, 2011 Schwartz etal., 2013) to include outcome indicators that we hypothesized are relevant to measuring a successful HCT for young adults with type 1 diabetes (T1D Pierce & Wysocki, 2015). When the focus is on HCT outcomes, the research is fraught with methodological difficulties, making it difficult to generalize and compare findings across studies ( Crowley, Wolfe, Lock, & McKee, 2011 Pierce & Wysocki, 2015). Much of the literature on the health care transition (HCT) from pediatric to adult care focuses on how to prepare or ready adolescents with chronic illness for a successful HCT ( Schwartz etal., 2014), but considerably less attention has been paid on how to measure whether the HCT was successful. Young adults with chronic illnesses are expected to transition from pediatric to adult care and balance disease management with the developmental challenges of assuming responsibilities in typical life domains (e.g., work/college, social relationships, housing) associated with emerging adulthood ( Arnett, 2012 Monaghan, Helgeson, & Wiebe, 2015 Weissberg-Benchell, Wolpert, & Anderson, 2007). The broadening of the number of qualitative researchers in the sociological community in Croatia, together with more educational programmes on CAQDAS, which would highlight reflexive usage of software, open perspectives for strengthening of qualitative research in Croatia.Health care transition, transition outcomes, type 1 diabetes, young adulthood The perceived advantages and limitations of CAQDAS are analysed and some misconceptions about CAQDAS are contextualised and related to the dominant quantitative research framework in Croatian sociology. This is elaborated through a case study that addresses issues of spread and availability of CAQDAS, opportunity for its usage, reasons why early-career researchers decide to use it or not and grounds for their decisions for use of a particular software package. In Croatia, the CAQDAS community is very small and is dominated by problems of great expectations coming from early-career researchers. In this article we critically analyse the usage of computer-assisted qualitative data analysis software (CAQDAS) among early-career sociology researchers in Croatia. |
